September 20, 2017 Acute Care Recognition



September 20, 2017 … Baraga County Memorial Hospital’s Acute Care Department was recently recognized with a Certificate of Excellence award for an overall rating score at or above the 90th percentile by HealthStream, Inc.

Baraga County Memorial Hospital (BCMH) was awarded this honor for its commitment to excellence in patient care. Ratings were determined by surveying recent inpatients and their experiences at BCMH. During the reporting period of April-June 2017, BCMH’s Acute Care department scored an overall rating at the 95th percentile of the national database of facilities surveyed.

BCMH Chief Nursing Officer, Bonny Cotter stated, “We strive to provide safe and compassionate care. These patient satisfaction scores prove to us that we are doing the right things to provide that care. We have skilled and compassionate nurses here at BCMH and we are proud of that. Let me take this opportunity to publicly thank the staff for all they do and our patients for completing these surveys.”
